How to oppose a bill that would weaken identity theft protection

The credit reporting industry is tempting Congress to pass a law that would make identity theft easier. A number of states have passed laws that allow their residents to put a credit freeze on their accounts.
The industry bill would override state laws and allow a credit freeze only after your identity has been stolen.
AARP has a form you can use to send an email opposing this legislation to your representatives.
